Simple Techniques to Manifest Your Dreams

Manifest your dreams by beginning a new year with a fresh perspective. Achieve your dreams and goals using these simple and fun techniques.

With the new year in our sights, it’s is always a great time to start thinking about ways in which we can manifest our our dreams, bring them to life, and achieve our goals for the coming year. Although we always seem to start the new year full of positive energy and commitment, if you’re like most people, after only a few weeks into the year you’re already stumbling and wondering why you even bothered.

Over the years I’ve learned that it’s perfectly fine to have big dreams and goals, but if you want them to materialize, you need a plan and you need to take consistent action!

These simple and fun techniques are ones that I’ve used to help guide me in shaping and defining both my personal and business life.

I’ve used goal cards and one word for many years, and am always amazed at how much I can achieve when I use them. A manifestation journal and moon journaling are something fun that I’ve recently been exploring, and during the coming year I’m really looking forward to seeing how things turn out. I hope you find these techniques as useful and as I do!

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.

Manifest Your Dreams with Moon Journaling

When you choose to live consciously with the energy of the Moon, it’s possible to unlock your limitless potential. Living in tune with the cycles of the Moon will help your life flow with more ease and beauty.

Journaling using the eight phases of moon to guide you is a fun and creative way to achieve your dreams and goals however if working with all eight phases seems a little daunting, you can choose to work with the two main phases – the new moon and the full moon. You can find full details on how to journal through the moon’s phases here.

Manifest Your Dreams with a Creative Manifestation Journal

This year, instead of using a day planner as I normally do to help me stay on track with my day-to-day tasks and goals, I decided to do something new and different so I set up a manifestation journal.

This type of journal planner is more visual than a regular planner so it’s a lot more fun and creative to use. When something is fun you’re more inclined to stick with it so it gives you a better chance of actually achieving your dreams and goals. The journal combines a lot of different processes, including the ones mentioned above, as well as a vision board and other visual elements.

If you’re ready to make 2022 a year to remember, you can get started with your own Creative Manifestation Journal here.

Manifest Your Dreams using One Word

Every year for over 10 years, instead of making new year’s resolutions, I choose a word that becomes my guide for the coming year. I use this word as a way to stay focused and move my life in the direction that I want it to go. When I feel like I’ve lost my way a little, all I need to do is remember my word and it helps to put me right back on track.

For the last several years I’ve also used my word as part of my goal setting process and I write it down along with my goals so it stays fresh in my mind. My word and my goals work side by side to help me make conscious choices about my life so my actions are directed and focused.

Like my goal setting system, I also use a system to help me choose my word.

To choose a word I use this simple 3-step process:

1. Get Clear about your Vision
The first step to finding your word is to get clear about what you want. How do you envision the coming year? Are there changes that you want to make such as discarding old habits and creating new ones? What is it that you want to be, do or have? How do you want to feel? Take time to make a list.

2. Define Your Vision
Once you have clarity about how you want the year ahead to look, define how these changes or things will impact you. It’s not enough to make a list of all the things you want, without also understanding why you want them.

3. Choose Your Word
Now it’s time to choose a word that captures the essence of how you envision your coming year. Make a list of all possible words and pick one that feels right. I generally use my intuition when choosing a word. Intuition comes from a place of deeper knowing and understanding. It’s never wrong.

Manifest Your Dreams with Goal Cards

I use goal cards because they are portable and can be tucked into a book or a journal, or even a bag or purse, where they are a constant reminder of the things I need to get done during the coming weeks and months. With goal cards, they are always within sight so my goals are never forgotten. I designed these goal cards using a goal setting system that I’ve used for years. The system takes your dreams – the things you think you might do someday – and helps you set up a plan to bring your dreams to life.

The cards can be used to define goals for any aspect of your life including personal growth, family, social, business, spiritual, health, relationships, and financial or any other areas of your life that are important to you. Use the goal cards together with a 5-step process to help you turn your dreams into reality.

5-Step Goal Setting Process

1. Visualize
We all have dreams of things we’d love to do. What are the things you dream of doing one day. Select a dream or two, and turn it into reality by creating a vision of what you hope to achieve in the coming years. Your vision defines your goals.

2. Set Your Goals
These are your “big picture” goals. Think about the biggest things you’d like to accomplish by this time next year and write them down. Only choose one or even several big goals so as not to become overwhelmed. If you feel up for it, you could choose one goal for each aspect of your life.

3. Get Clarity
Write down the reasons for wanting to achieve your goal. Why is it important? How will it change your life? How will you know when you have achieved your goals? What will success look like? What will it feel like? Write an affirmation for your goal and use it as an intention to keep you focused and on track. Keep your affirmations short, positive and in the present tense.

4. Make a Plan
List all the things you need to do to achieve your goal.

5. Take Action
Using your Action Plan, break your goal down into twelve monthly goals that you can realistically accomplish each month. Break down the monthly goals into weekly goals. Break down the weekly goals into daily tasks. What steps can you take today that will move you toward your big picture goal.
